I finally got the software that will allow me to update my site again! Hello, all. I'll be updating this blog as sort of a casual journal for family who would like to keep in touch with me.

I'm going to be insanely busy for the next 2 weeks. I have lots of art from class to put up here (digital photos of it, at least) and soon I want to take pics of all my new friends. But I haven't had time. My schedule is nuts.. here's what I can remember of it off the top of my head. This isn't everything.
Friday: Leave for Cornell - Greening of the Ivies conference (Ivy Eco groups)
Sunday: return evening, finish 200pp reading for globalization
Monday: class, art lecture, envs reading
Tuesday: DAVID BROOKS speaking, class, paper due
Wednesday: Spearhead concert! Setup and decoration after class, show at night
Thursday: Loew movie, class
Friday: WHY WAR? Rally from 1:30-7pm. Pat McGee Band, 8 pm. 10 pm, bus leaves for DC protest - march on the capitol.
Saturday: DC protest
Sunday: return AM, Mayflies concert at Rollins
Monday: time to breathe, hopefully.
Tuesday: art lecture, Philip Glass show, Philip Glass discussion
Wednesday: first year forum, film society movie
Thursday: Flaming Lips show in NYC???
And that about rounds out October.
Oh, I feel cool.
So Dartmouth is one of those schools that builds a crazy towering bonfire every year for homecoming. It's supposed to be insane. And every year, the freshman class is in charge of organizing it. Part of that organization is getting t-shirts made for every freshman. They held a t-shirt design contest.
Mine won.
1,000 freshmen will be wearing MY SHIRT DESIGN AT HOMECOMING. Whoa.
I did it in about 30 minutes; it's not complicated. All by hand, because I don't have my scanner like I did at home or I could've made it a bit more professional. Were I at an art school, this design wouldn't have had a CHANCE. But this is Dartmouth. Somehow it won. Wow.
