Blue depths of sorrow lure
But at the last second - spin away.
Watch from the corner
Matching gaze from across the way.

Stand transfixed
Break off
Brush past
Feign nonchalance.

Step up - bold and beautiful
Eye to eye
Inviting proximity
Synchronize.

Draw back, graceful and coy
A parting glance
An artful dodge
It begins again.
